Jennifer Connelly private life, childhood, studies and fashion

The actress had a son in 1997 from her first relationship with photographer David Dugan. Since January 2003 she has been married to actor Paul Bettany, whom she met while working on the set of A Beautiful Mind. The couple's first child, Stellan, was born on 5 August 2003 and their second daughter, Agnes Lark Bettany, on 8 June 2011.

Jennifer Connelly is a polyglot: in addition to English, she also speaks French, Japanese and a little Italian (learned while shooting the film Phenomena).

Jennifer was born in Cairo, in the state of New York, precisely in the Catskill Mountains. Her mother Eileen was an antique dealer and ran a shop in Woodstock, while her father Gerard owns a small textile company and prior to this she worked in the children's clothing industry in New York. The family owned another property in Bellport, Long Island, Suffolk County.

Her paternal grandparents were of Irish and Norwegian Catholic descent respectively, while her maternal grandparents were Jewish, belonging to families from the Russian Empire and Poland (her mother had grown up in a Yeshivah (it is a Jewish educational institution)). When Jennifer was four, the family moved to Brooklyn Heights near the Brooklyn Bridge, where she attended Saint Ann's School, except for the 4th year due to moving to Woodstock, but she recovered to graduate.

A family-friendly advertising executive suggested to Jennifer's father that her daughter could become a celebrity baby model given her unique physical abilities, which is why she recommended auditioning at a fashion agency. . So they went in search of a representative, found him in the prestigious Ford Agency and, after school, Eileen took her daughter to town for auditions. At the age of ten Jennifer made her debut working as a model and gaining popularity in the field of advertising before turning to TV commercials. Jennifer says she doesn't remember much of those times, apart from an advertisement for Scott's toilet paper.
